Powered by the combined forces of the seven dwarves, fairies, Red Riding Hood, and Granny, Snow White breaks into King George's castle dungeon. When she informs them that Prince Charming is now King George's prisoner, Dopey and the other dwarves join her on the rescue mission. Many days later, Snow White returns, after the potion's effects have been broken by Prince Charming, and apologizes to the dwarves for her prior behavior.
Rather than listening, she blames the Evil Queen for everything and then sets out to kill her. During an intervention organized by the dwarves, Jiminy attempts to talk some sense into Snow about her change in personality while the others agree that she has become very hard and cold. (" 7:15 A.M.")Īfter ingesting the potion, Snow White becomes callous and uncaring, much to the dwarves' worry. After Grumpy hears of Charming cancelling his engagement to Princess Abigail, he rushes home, startling the other dwarves inside with his sudden presence, and notifies Snow, however, she has already drank the potion and forgotten her true love. As consolation, they allow her to stay at their cottage to recuperate. Heartbroken, Snow prepares to drink a potion to erase the pain, but Grumpy stops her. Shortly after the dwarves regroup, they join Snow White as she is departing from the castle after being forced to reject her true love Prince Charming on King George's orders.
While escaping, Stealthy is killed, and Grumpy nearly meets the same fate, but he flees unharmed with Snow White's help.

His brothers form a rescue team, in which Stealthy infiltrates the castle prison to free Grumpy. (" Dreamy")ĭespite giving up on Nova, Grumpy later trades all his wages in order to buy a diamond to propose to her, though the diamond he bought was unknowningly a stolen one and he is imprisoned in King George's castle for his supposed theft. Along with the other dwarves, Dopey watches a saddened and angry Dreamy break his ax and receives a new name-Grumpy. However, after being chastised by both Bossy and the Blue Fairy that he belongs with his own kind, Dreamy breaks up with Nova and returns home. Despite this, Dopey and his brothers, except for Stealthy, wish their brother good luck with Nova. The night that Dreamy attempts to leave while everyone else is asleep, Stealthy unceremoniously wakes up the other dwarves to reveal what is going on. Dreamy, realizing he has feelings for a fairy named Nova, later discovers she too she feels the same for him, and the two make plans to see the world together. His brothers are unsure what is wrong with him until a young woman, Belle, correctly guesses that he has fallen in love. While all eight dwarves are having an evening out at the pub, only Dreamy is too distracted to eat. Hatching from a dwarf egg on the same day as his seven brothers, Dopey receives his name from a magic pick ax before going to work in the mines.
